Course Overview

This extended-hours training course equips you with the knowledge, skills, and abilities to design and deploy a VMware vSphere® 6.5 virtual infrastructure. You follow a proven approach to design and deploy a virtualization solution that is available, scalable, manageable, and secure, and that uses VMware best practices.

Some Features

This course discusses the benefits and risks of available design alternatives and provides information to support making sound design decisions. In this course, you practice your design skills by working with peers on a design project.

You also deploy components of a completed vSphere design. This course is based on VMware ESXi™ 6.5, VMware vCenter Server™ 6.X and Horizon 5X.

Prerequisites

The Minimally Qualified Candidate for the VCAP7-DTM Design has a working knowledge of VMware

vSphere and advanced knowledge of VMware end-user computing solutions (including, but not limited to technologies such as VMware Horizon View, ThinApp, vSAN, Workspace One, App Volumes, vRealize Operations for Horizon, Identity Manager, User Environment Manager).

candidate typically has 5+ years of general IT experience with at least 12 months of experience recommending and designing end-user computing solutions that meet customer goals and requirements in a production environment. Candidates possess an advanced knowledge of end-user computing environments and components, enabling them to recommend and design VMware solutions to meet specific goals and requirements
