Deploying NSX Manager


Adding DNS for NSX Manager Step 1 : Right Click on your domain name and select New Host ( A or AAAA) record

Step 2: Enter the Host name and IP address for the NSX manager and click on Add Host

Deploying the NSX OVA : Step 1. Download the NSX Manager appliance from VMware site Step 2. Right Click on your cluster and select Deploy OVF Templat Note : Make sure your Client Integration Plugin is installed

Step 3. Select the NSX Manager Appliance and Click Next

Step 4. Select the check-box Accept extra configuration options then Click Next

Step 5. Select Accept and Click Next to accept the EULA

Step 6. Select a Name and destination Folder then click Next

Step 7. Select your virtual disk type and Datastore then click Next

Step 8. Select your Destination Network and click Next

Step 9. Create a CLI ADMIN User Password and CLI Privilege Mode User Password and scroll bit down

Step 10. Expand the Network properties and enter the Hostname, IP Address, Net mask, and Default Gateway

Step 11. Expand the DNS properties and enter the DNS server details

Step 12. Expand the Services Configuration and enter the NTP server and Enable SSH

Step 13 : Review the configuration and select power on after deployment and Click “ Finish”

Adding NSX Manager to vCenter Step 1 : Login to Nsx manager and select Manage vCenter registration

Step 2: Edit the services lookup URL

Step 3: Enter the SSO details and click on OK

Trust the Certificate Clicking Yes
